Website Included
The terms, in plain English.
This is the agreement between you and GFE Tech Group Ltd for a Website Included plan. It is written to be read. If anything in it is unclear, ask before you sign up and we will explain it or change it.
1. Who this is between
"We", "us" and "GFE" mean GFE Tech Group Ltd. "You" means the business named on the sign-up form, and the person who signs up confirms they can agree these terms for that business. This is a business-to-business agreement.
2. What you get
We design and build a website for your business at no charge, then host it and look after it for a monthly fee. The plan you choose (Foundation, Growth or Pro) sets what we do each month. The plan contents are listed on the Website Included page on the day you sign up and form part of this agreement. We may improve what a plan includes at any time; we will not reduce it during your minimum term.
3. The free build
- The build covers up to ten pages, designed for your business, with the words written by us from the facts you give us, a contact form, and the search set-up described on the plan page.
- Online shops, booking systems, member areas, custom software, databases and web applications are not included. We will quote for them separately if you want them.
- Extra pages beyond ten are £49 each, agreed before we build them.
- We show you the complete site on a private link before it goes live. You get one round of changes as part of the build; further rounds count as small updates under your plan.
- You are responsible for giving us the facts, logo and photos, and for confirming they are accurate and yours to use. We will not publish anything we cannot source from you or a public record. Nothing goes live until you have approved it.
- If we have not received the content we need within 14 days of asking, the build pauses until we do. If it has not arrived within 60 days, we may treat the agreement as ended without charge to either side.
4. Paying
- You pay monthly through Stripe, by card or by Direct Debit (Direct Debits are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee). Your payment details are saved when you sign up.
- Your first payment is taken on the day your site goes live, and then monthly on the same date. Nothing is charged before the site is live.
- Prices are as shown on the plan page when you sign up. Any change to prices, and the addition of VAT if and when we become VAT registered, will be advised to you in writing at least 30 days before it takes effect. Price changes do not apply during your minimum term.
- If a payment fails or is late, Stripe will retry and email you. If it is still unpaid 14 days after it was due, your website is deactivated (taken offline) until the balance is paid. We restore it within one working day of payment clearing. If payments fail repeatedly, we may end the agreement, with the balance of any minimum term payable.
5. Minimum term and leaving
- The minimum term is six months from the day your site goes live. After that the plan continues month to month.
- You can end the plan at any time by emailing us. After the minimum term, it ends at the end of the current monthly period.
- If you end the plan before the end of the minimum term, the monthly fees for the rest of the six months become payable in one payment.
- You can change plan at any time by emailing us. The new price applies from your next monthly payment, and the minimum term carries on unchanged on the new plan.
6. Who owns what
- Your domain is yours. It is registered in your name from the start, or transferred to you if we register it for you. You can point it wherever you like at any time.
- Your content is yours. Your business name, logo, photos, and the facts you give us remain yours. You give us permission to use them on your site and in our own portfolio and case studies unless you tell us not to.
- The website belongs to GFE while you subscribe. The design, code, structure and the words we wrote are owned by GFE Tech Group Ltd. Your plan includes a licence to use them for your business for as long as the plan is running.
- You can buy the website for £500 at any time. Pay the buy-out and settle any balance of the minimum term, and within five working days we transfer the code to you (a copy of the code repository) and either move the hosting into your control or keep hosting it under a plan if you want us to. Once bought, the website is yours to keep, change and host anywhere.
- If you leave without buying, the website is taken offline when the plan ends. We keep a private copy for twelve months in case you return or decide to buy it, then delete it. Your domain and your content are unaffected.
7. Small updates and support
- Small updates are changes to what is already on the site: text, prices, opening hours, photos, team members, and news posts written from the information you send us. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of our time for these. Unused time does not roll over.
- New pages, new features, redesigns and writing copy from scratch are not small updates. We will tell you if a request falls outside your plan and quote it before we do it.
- Articles, news posts and social post graphics on the Growth and Pro plans are produced from information you send us. We do not invent content about your business.
- Support is by email. Response times are those shown on your plan.
8. Hosting, security and backups
- We host your site on modern infrastructure with SSL, security headers and automatic backups, and check it every week. We aim for it to be available at all times but cannot promise that no outage will ever occur.
- You must not use the site for anything unlawful, and must not upload or ask us to publish content you do not have the right to use.
- We may take the site offline temporarily if it is under attack or if keeping it up would put other clients at risk.
9. Data protection
We hold your contact details and business information to deliver the plan. Enquiries sent through your site's contact form go straight to your inbox and are not stored by us. We are registered with the ICO (ZC153731). Our privacy notice explains more. We do not sell or share your data.
10. Our responsibility
- We will carry out the work with reasonable skill and care.
- We are not responsible for lost profit, lost business or indirect losses, or for losses caused by content you supplied, by your domain or email provider, or by services we do not control (such as Google).
- Our total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes and general
- We may update these terms. If we do, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Changes that reduce what you get do not apply during your minimum term.
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
